  • Important Notes:

  • Best Time to Visit: The Kedarnath Yatra is typically open from April/May to November. 

  • Trekking: The trek to Kedarnath is moderate to difficult and requires good physical fitness. 

  • Helicopter Services: Helicopter services are available from Phata or Guptkashi to Kedarnath, offering a quicker and more comfortable option. 

  • Accommodation: We Will Book your accommodation in advance, especially during peak season. 

  • Ponies/Pitthu: You can hire ponies or pitthu's to carry you part of the way, but be prepared for a crowded trek. 

  • Weather: Check the weather conditions before you travel, as the weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable. 

  • Altitude: Kedarnath is at a high altitude, so take precautions against altitude sickness. 

  • Other Places to Visit:Gaurikund: The starting point of the trek to Kedarnath, known for its hot springs. Chorabari Lake (Gandhi Sarovar): A small lake near the Kedarnath temple. Bhairavnath Temple: Located near the Kedarnath temple, believed to be the protector deity of Kedarnath. Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi: The place where Adi Shankaracharya is said to have attained enlightenment. Triyuginarayan Temple: A temple on the way to Kedarnath, believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati performed their marriage.

Day 1: Travel to Haridwar/Rishikesh

  • Morning: Deboarding from train or flight to (Haridwar/Rishikesh).

  • Afternoon/Evening: Travel to Haridwar or Rishikesh (approx. 2-3 hours by road).

  • Evening: Check into your hotel, explore the town, and attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.

  • Overnight: Stay in Haridwar or Rishikesh.

Day 2: Travel to Sonprayag/Guptkashi

  • Morning: Drive from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Sonprayag or Guptkashi (approx. 8-10 hours).

  • Afternoon/Evening: Check into your hotel in Sonprayag or Guptkashi.

  • Optional: Visit the Triyuginarayan Temple on the way.

  • Overnight: Stay in Sonprayag or Guptkashi.

Day 3: Trek to Kedarnath

  • Morning: Start trekking from Gaurikund (the starting point of the trek) to Kedarnath (approx. 22 km).

  • Afternoon/Evening: Arrive at Kedarnath, check into your accommodation, and attend the evening Aarti.

  • Overnight: Stay in Kedarnath.

Day 4: Kedarnath Darshan and Return

  • Morning: Visit the Kedarnath Temple and explore the surrounding area.

  • Afternoon: Trek back to Gaurikund and travel to Sonprayag or Guptkashi.

  • Evening: Overnight stay in Sonprayag or Guptkashi.
